Alex Roy

Founder of the Human Driving Association (HDA)

Alex Roy is the founder of the Human Driving Association (HDA), which is dedicated to raising licensing and safety standards for personally owned vehicles. Roy has broken numerous “Cannonball Run” endurance driving records in the electric (EV), internal combustion (ICE) and 3-wheeled classes, and is one of the world’s leading experts on driver assistance systems.

Alex co-founded The Autonocast, is co-host of /DRIVE on NBC Sports and is Editor-at-Large at The Drive, where he did the first head-to-head test of Tesla Autopilot way back in 2016. He authored The Driver and produced APEX: The Secret Race Across America, which documents his record-setting drive across America.

Alex is also founder of Noho Sound NYC, a music + event space inspired by The Moth storytelling series, of which he was Chairman from 2002–2007.

He also does secret stuff for Argo AI.

Bryan Salesky

CEO and Founder of Argo AI

Bryan Salesky is the CEO and co-founder of Argo AI, an artificial intelligence and robotics company led by some of the industry’s most experienced self-driving vehicle experts.

Prior to starting Argo AI, Bryan worked for Carnegie Mellon University’s National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) where, among other roles, he led software engineering for Tartan Racing, Carnegie Mellon’s winning entry in the DARPA Urban Challenge.

After NREC, Bryan joined the Google self-driving car team in 2011 to continue to push toward making self-driving cars a reality. While at Google, Bryan was responsible for the development and manufacture of its hardware portfolio, which included self-driving computing systems and several self-driving vehicle development programs.

Bryan is passionate about incorporating promising robotics technology into products and systems that will improve safety and productivity while enhancing people’s lives.
